Ingredients :

225 g : beef steak, cut into small, thin slices
1/4 : teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon : sugar
1 tablespoon : fish sauce
2 tablespoons : vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, chopped
1small onion, sliced
1 green pepper, cored and cut into cubes
115 g sliced bamboo shoots, drained
1 firm tomato, cut into 8 wedges
2  spring onions, cut into short lengths
2 tablespoons : soy or oyster sauce
2 teaspoons : corn flour

Method :

Mix beef with black pepper, sugar and fish sauce and leave to marinate for 15-20 minutes. Heat oil in a wok or frying pan and stir fry garlic and onion for about 1 minute. Add beef and stir fry for 1 minute. Add green pepper, bamboo shoots, tomato and spring onions. Continue stir frying for 2-3 minutes, then blend in soy or oyster sauce. Mix corn flour with 1 tablespoon water and stir into mixture. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Serve with rice noodles.
